Change Leadership in a VUCA World – ILM 5
Change Leadership
Objective / Blurb
In a VUCA world, as we experience it today – volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous – the need for change leadership is pronounced. In this course we will focus on the leadership challenges in a time of exponential change. We aim to assist you in your development as a change leader with the ability to understand the impact of change on the workplace, the need to be innovative and to lead and manage teams for more effectiveness in meeting the goals and objectives of a growing 21st century work organisation.
This course will equip you
to respond effectively to the typical challenges of the new world of work. Most
senior-level employees were trained and/or exposed to the thought patterns and
behaviours typical of the management paradigm. In other words, they attempt to
control and steer matters from the top down and assume superior knowledge and
ability in comparison to staff in general. In recent decades it has become
clear that the old thinking styles are counter-productive in a VUCA world. VUCA
is an acronym for Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous.
In this course you will
learn how to make the necessary changes in terms of your understanding of what
needs to be done, your approaches to work, people and opportunities, your
behaviours and application of ability
and skills.
